Welcome to Canyon State Academy

GOLF BY JAY TROST
Rite of Passage
golf has always been held in the highest regard as one of the greatest
privileges that is offered to youth at Canyon State Academy. The season
started with a really great group of kids and the best assistant coach
(Coach Cotton) a team could ask for and during the process of the season
that really great group of kids turned into a really great group of
golfers. We start out every year with the expectations that it is a
privilege to
be on the team and that they will learn a game that they can play for
the rest of their lives and from the very first practice it was obvious
that this season was going to be different, the kids started with a
humble yet determined attitude that they are going to be competitive
golfers and this made myself and Coach Cotten realize that we better match their intensity and
in the end this season began with the expectation that it is a
privilege to be on his team and by the end of the season the expectation
changed to it is a privilege to coach this team.
